George Flanigan

Professor Flanigan's teaching interests are property/casualty insurance and life/health insurance. His scholarly research has been published in numerous journals, including the Journal of Risk and Insurance, Best's Review, Journal of Insurance Issues, Journal of Insurance Regulation, CPCU Journal, and Risk Management.

Flanigan's research and external focus is Commercial General Liability (CGL), history of the CGL, excess liability insurance wordings and coverage, and property and casualty terms and conditions including both publication and deposition/testimony. He has an extensive and deep background evaluating (1) claims files, (2) underwriting files, and (3) agent/broker files as regards professional and ethical standards, policies, and procedures.
