Dr. Ahlgrim's teaching interests include investments, derivatives, financial management, and risk management and insurance. His research interests include fixed income modeling, financial risk management of insurers, and actuarial science. Prior to teaching at Illinois State University, Dr. Ahlgrim worked as an actuary in Chicago and Connecticut. He is an Associate of the Society of Actuaries (A.S.A.) and a member of the American Aacademy of Actuaries (M.A.A.A.). Dr. Ahlgrim obtained his Ph.D. and M.S. from the University of Illinois. |
