Neal R. Aton is the president and CEO of Wells Fargo Insurance Services. He is also the CEO of Wells Fargo Insurance, Inc., a nationwide insurance agency. Since 2005 Aton has also been the president of Wells Fargo Insurance, Inc., which serves more than 2.5 million customers by delivering auto, home, life insurance, and other coverage to individuals and small businesses. Aton earned his B.S. degree in business administration from Villanova University in Pennsylvania, and his M.B.A. from the Harvard Graduate School of Business.
His career began in 1981 with E.F. Hutton Group, Inc., where he focused on the diversification of the firm’s financial services. Before joining Wells Fargo, Aton headed the American Medical Association’s (AMA’s) insurance agency, providing financial services to physicians and their practices across the United States. He spent 15 years with Avco Financial Services, where he presided over 10 insurance companies operating in nine countries. The U.S. operations included Balboa Life & Casualty. Aton is also an active leader in community organizations focused on child welfare, as well as intervention for child neglect and abuse.
