Biography:
Jake is a senior from Wood River Illinois and has been involved in Gamma since junior year. Jake is very excited to take over the presidential role and to keep the growth and all the great things in Gamma going. He is looking forward to working with everyone this upcoming semester.
This past summer Jake was part of two different internships. The first internship was one of the Katie School International Internships to Zurich, Switzerland where he had an amazing time and learned a great deal about the insurance industry and global programs. Jake encourages anyone interested in insurance to pursue an international internship through the Katie School as it was one of the best and most valuable experiences of his life. After he got back from Switzerland Jake worked as an intern for a wholesale brokerage firm in Kansas City, Missouri called Westrope. There he met many great people and learned much about the non-admitted excess and surplus lines side of the business. Aside from being very active with Gamma, Jake is also on the Illinois State Club Baseball and Club Bowling teams, loves hanging out with friends, going to ISU basketball games and enjoys being a server at the Bloomington Olive Garden. Jake loves being involved and is very thankful to be a part of Gamma. If you ask him, he would highly recommend anyone involved with insurance to join Gamma Iota Sigma.
